Complete with original slipcase. Rare double-sized format. All edges gilt. Original marbled endpapers. 65 x 58 mm. Original red morocco, with diagonal inlays of red, white, and green, finely gold tooled, in a slipcase with similar decoration. Slipcase rubbed and worn with slight losses. Besides the standard 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 inch size, there were several other formats: square 1 1/4 inch where the leaves were folded horizontally, so-called "finger" size of 2 1/4 x 5/8 inch where the leaves were folded vertically, rare double size 2 1/4 x 2 5/8 inch, and even a very rare triple or quadruple size format. The square and finger sized almanacs had no frontispiece illustrations.
